There are two ways in: right from the desktop, or through Settings. The desktop way is fastest.
The quick way
- Right-click the desktopChoose Personalize from the menu.
- Open BackgroundClick Background near the top of the Personalization page.
- Choose PictureUnder “Personalize your background,” select Picture (or Slideshow to rotate a folder).
- Browse for your imageClick Browse photos and pick your wallpaper.
The setting people miss: “Choose a fit”
Just below the image you’ll see “Choose a fit for your desktop image.” This decides how the wallpaper sits on your screen:
Fill is what you want most of the time — it covers the whole screen without black bars. Fit keeps the whole image but may leave bars. Stretch forces it to fit and can distort it. Span is for stretching one image across multiple monitors.
